BLURB

Willow Stewart’s lifelong dreams are coming true. She’s opened a café in her hometown, and it’s thriving. Sure, maybe she doesn’t have much of a life outside of work and she’s almost completely broke, but she’s taking off weekends—plural—to celebrate her best friend’s upcoming wedding and that’s progress, right?

She’s also flirting with Jasper Perry, the brother of the groom, whenever he’s within ten feet. And, even though Jasper is a bit stiff and overly formal, she’s pretty sure he’s flirting with her too. He’s also showing her a side of himself he doesn’t seem to show many other people. The only problem is, Jasper’s life and job are in Toronto, and that’s a place and a lifestyle Willow gave up and has never looked back. Will she have to give up Jasper too?

REVIEW

A Very Perry Wedding is a beautiful Romance and a family novel written by Marie Landry. This is an extension of a famous novel by the same author and it is called “A Very Perry Christmas”. Which was an instant hit last Christmas when it was launched.

A Very Perry Wedding is the story of the elder Perry sibling, Jasper, and Willow who is the best friend of A Very Perry Christmas’s leads, Gwen, and Evan Perry. Surprisingly, Jasper, who is basically known as a strict, reserved, and rigid personality with hidden layers of emotions became the quick interest of the readers.

Since the introduction of Jasper’s character in the very first book of the series, the readers have been dying to read about him at a greater depth. And befittingly the author has satisfied her readers with this novel that is solely based on Jasper and his life. The author has justified Jasper’s strict nature beautifully and made us fall in love with him all over again. This character description by Marie has added Jasper’s name to my list of topmost loved book boyfriends.

In this book, the protagonist Willow Stewart who is in her mid 30’s had a very bad breakup with her long-term boyfriend. In order to start over her life from the beginning after the breakup, she opens her dream cafe “cravings” in her hometown along with her childhood friend, Marisol. Willow is a witty and nerdy girl who is in love with funko-pops and Star Wars.

When Willow meets Jasper, the elder brother from the Perry clan, she instantly gets intimidated by his tight and unforthcoming behavior. Jasper and Willow become friends and eventually fall for each other during the few days they spent together at Gwen and Evan’s wedding preparation.

Usually, seasonal books are based mainly on Christmas, winter, and snow. But this whole story happens in the autumn season which incredibly describes how the air changes from summer to the chill and colorful fall season. This book is a feast for autumn lovers who can feel the bright fall colors throughout the book. This made me crave all the fall delicacies like the cinnamon-spiced pumpkin latte, the caramel-dipped apples, my favorite stuffing on a thanksgiving dinner, et cetera.

This book is filled with all the interesting fall fun activities like apple picking, pumpkin patches, Hayrides, and fall carnivals. The temperature where I live is still at its 80’s but despite that, I could literally feel the soon-to-be chilled air of the fall through this wonderful book and its narration.

The writing style of Marie is so magnificent and witty that it made me laugh out loud at every fourth and fifth page for the first half of the book. The way she describes the love and unconditional affection between Willow and all her friends was on another level. Also, for those who are in devotion to Sitcoms and Netflix shows, I bet you will love this book for sure. There was so much positiveness about this book which made me feel good and alive while reading it.

And about Jasper, the author describes him as an “Onion” that has many layers and she has peeled those layers so smoothly and orderly without releasing the irritants that make our eyes tear. And that is something I really loved about this book as well as Marie.

Coming to the Perry Wedding part, which has been mentioned in the title, the wedding in itself was very different and it will give us a lot of ideas on how to do a fun-filled wedding that can involve our loved ones so that both the couples as well as their family and friends could enjoy it to the most.

By emphasizing the wedding part, the author has not focused on the usual grand one-day wedding, where people you haven’t met before ever in your life pass livid comments about the wedding but rather it was genuinely spectacular.

In my experience in reading books for so many years, this is the first time, I have found myself a book girlfriend and I’m sure many of you will feel the same after reading Willow’s character.

In this book, the author has briefly described a fictional town called Honeywell Hollow which instantly drew my interest because I always dreamed of living in a small town like that where everyone knows everyone and treats you like a family. And the author has promised to tell more about it in her next book Escaping Christmas. For which I am eagerly waiting for.

Overall I thoroughly savored the whole story. After a long time, this is the book that has made me laugh so much. Marie is a specialist in writing books with a lot of layers and details which enhance the total essence of the story. These factors made this book so relative that almost at the end of the book, I felt like I was one among the massive Perry Clan. And this book is really close to my heart for other reasons, this is the first time I’m writing a full-fledged professional book review and this is my first project with Nerdy Bookarazzi. I hope to meet you guys more often with these kinda books and their reviews.

My rating for this book would be 5 out of 5 stars

Rating: 5 out of 5.

In the meanwhile, after writing this review, my first thing is to grab a pumpkin spiced latte and to start my front porch fall and Halloween decorations.

And you guys read this amazing fall book which is releasing today on the first day of fall 2021. And don’t forget to tell us how you love this book in the comment section below.
